Post by: Katey on November 08, 2008, 11:04:43 PM: My name is Katrina (friends call me Katey and I am amongst friends), 37 yrs old and been on hdialysis for the 2nd time as of Aug 2008. I was diagnosed with medullary cystic disease in 1985 after a traumatic fall from a horse. I first went on capd in 1997 then had awful bouts of peritonitis causing me to go on hemodialysis. I received a cadaver
kidney on October 31, 1999 (yep great Halloween present) The docs are unsure why my kidney decided to fail except for normal causes??? so I am now back
on hemodialysis 3x a week for 4 hrs each session.

My nurse practitioner told me about this site and I thank her for it. This site, testimonies and facts have been such a welcoming thing to me!!!

Not great that you're back on hemo after a transplant failure that's kinda sucky.
