Title: What are your favorite books or authors?

I'm on book four from "Outlander" series by Diane Gabaldon. I love this series.

Some of my other favorites:

"The #1 Ladies Detective Agency" series, by Alexander McCall Smith

Sue Grafton's lettered mystery series

Elizabeth Peters' Amelia Peabody series

Carl Hiaasen's books - he has a sadistic sense of humor that I love

I like books that make me think and books that make me laugh.

I've only read one of the #1 Ladies Detective Agency series, but I thought it was hilarious.

I'll devour anything with the McCaffrey name on it - Anne or her son.

I don't have the money to buy a lot of books, so most of mine are chosen at random from the library shelves.  Lately, I've been chomping thru kids books - Rick Riordian's Olympus series is fun.  The Harry Potter stuff is an old favorite, and I'm looking forward to the new release from her.

The only series right now that I actually spend money on is Jim Butcher's Dresden Files.

Favorite Books: I Robot by I. Assimov, The World According to Garp and The Cider House Rules by John Irving, Brideshead Revisited by Evelyn Waugh, and The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy  by Douglas Addams.

Janet Evanovich --Stephanie Plum Character - Start with the First Book - One for the Money
Donald Westlake - The " Dortmunder " Books. - Have to start with the first One to get a Feel of the Lead Character
Anything, by ---- Lee Smith ---- A Southern Writer
Also Read, " Out of the Wild " very good.
Just finished, " The Shack "  Interesting.
