My name is Nora. I am in dialysis due to an allergic reaction to medicine. Currently I am doing home hemodialysis and hope to have a transplant soon since I have a live donor who matches me.

Welcome Nora, where are you from? Tell us a bit more about yourself. Like what kind of medication caused your kidney failure, and what machine do you use on home hemo.
Glad you found this site and decided to join us.

Welcome to our community, Nora. we are so glad you joined us. Glad to hear about your expected transplant. Please let us know how everything goes. We have a list where we record all those who have had transplants. Ready to add your name. You will find that there is lots of support, information, and even fun on this web site. In fact, we are now officially a family (in spite of our differences and distances) :grouphug; so read a lot and post a lot.

Welcome Nora :welcomesign;
I'm a newbie too. I just began dialysis about 2 months ago. Do you dialyze at night? I have been doing in-center treatment but I would love to do nocturnal dialysis everyday because I think I would have better results. My only problem is that I don't have someone who could be my partner to help me with it. Any knowledge you have about home dialysis I welcome with open arms. I am so glad you were able to find a live donor for transplant. I really want to explore the possibility of transplant in my situation but I do not have any family who can donate on my behalf, so back to the drawing board ;) I hope we get to learn so much more about you. This is the place to be.
