Thanks for checking on me. I'm at my daughter's house using her computer. My son is 13 yrs old today!
Randy's kidney function has dropped dramatically. His neph now wants him to come in for blood work a lot.
Randy's been talking about not working lately. This is a bad sign for a man who lives to work. We talk every day, usually more than once.
I don't have any more time on the computer so must run...but thank you for thinking of me!

As for Randy.. His falling kidney function is no doubt a result of the extra abuse he's given to his body via the alcohol and/or being lax with his meds and stuff. It's sad but unfortunately proof that at some point living like that HAS to catch up with you :( I'm still sorry to hear it though Anna..

Thanks everyone for continuing to think of me and Randy. I finally have access to a computer more often. I've thought so much about all of you. I might have convinced Randy to get a computer and introduce himself to all of you. We'll see....I told him that he would never be alone again if he joined this site. He has so many questions.
He is having surgery for a fistula on Monday the 1st. The surgeon doesn't know if his veins are good enough for a fistula so he might get a graft. He's been in and out of the hospital for the last few months with congestive heart failure. His kidney function gets worse every day. Because of this site and all of you, I've been able to tell him about a lot of the things he's going through and make him more comfortable with all of this. It's less scary for him (and me.)
He's moving in with his wonderful sister at the end of Dec. She's talking to me a lot about his diet, etc., so she can take good care of him. I'm so happy for him. He's very lucky. Maybe this will give him a stronger will to live...but I don't know. Sometimes he has no will at all, other times he talks about rehab. I try now to just listen and comfort him while telling the truth about his condition and choices.

I talked to Pelagia the other day and she suggested we start a "Welcome Randy" thread so it's there when he decides to finally come here.

Randy knows all about this site and that all of you know his situation and how I feel about it. I've been really honest with him about everything.

Anna that's wonderful, to hear that someone has been so honest is lovely. You know we all love you, but I hope you also know that in a different way we will all love Randy and wish the best for him, hope to 'see' him here soon. In the meantime I'm sending love to you :cuddle;
