Title: Tax deductions for living donors
Post by: pelagia on October 05, 2008, 07:32:48 AM
Perhaps this information has already been discussed on IHD.  I did a quick search and didn't find any related threads (Karol?).  I can't recall reading anything about it before.

A number of states have passed legislation that gives living donors state tax deductions and/or paid leave.  :thumbup; :thumbup;

The information can be found in a table at this website:

Under the Friends and Family Leave Act passed YEARS ago a Federal Employee gets 30 days off for donating a kidney.  I know of an employee who did that in California.

                                                    :cheer:
