How is everyone doing today? Well, let's see where to start. I am 43 and have been on dialysis for almost 4 years now. I was born with prune belly syndrome so my kidneys never fully developed from birth. I had my fistula put in my wrist when I was 12 years old and was on dialysis for 2 and a half years till the age of 15, that fistula is still working today. I had my first kidney transplant at 15 but that only lasted 3 years , being a kid your not fully aware of the consequences of cheating and not listening to doctors,, at least I wasn't. At 18 I had my second transplant and that lasted 21 years, both were cadaveric. I hope to meet a lot of nice pople on here that know what I'm goig thru and who will let me rant and rave about dialysis when I need to. I will definetly be here for all of you, if ever you need an ear or a sounding board, fire away.

Welcome to IHD. I look forward to hearing more about your experiences with the transplants (I had one at 26 after 5 years of home hemo and it lasted just over 23 years). I'm back on hemo now but going through the donor business now for hopefully a second transplant.
Great intro BTW.
