Title: Advice.
Post by: karen547 on September 20, 2008, 01:53:58 PM
My asthma has gotten pretty bad due to this cold. I have my rescue inhaler and my portable nebulizer, but am wondering if I can do anything else for it? I mean like maybe some prednisone or something. I am going to dialysis monday and if its not any better I may ask for a prescription of prednisone.. help! I hate not being able to breathe right, its scary

Are you on Advair (http://www.advair.com/copd/index.html)?

Also, ask about Theophylline (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Theophylline) and Xolair (http://www.xolair.com/index.html?q=Xolair&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a)

Work on finding a good allergist.  Asthma sucks.  Prayers for you.
